House lock rekey and repair in Bethlehem, PA
Just moved in, or finally dealing with the doors you have been putting off? One visit handles all of it: rekey what works, repair what sticks, replace what is done.
One visit for the whole house
Most people call about one door and end up asking about three. That is fine with us. A whole-house visit means we go door to door with you: front, back, side, garage entry, basement, the slider that never latched. Each one gets the right fix, and you end up with one key that opens everything you want it to and old copies that open nothing.
We see a lot of this after a closing. The seller's copies, the realtor's lockbox key, the dog walker's key, the contractor's key: nobody knows how many are out there. A rekey retires all of them at once, and the hardware stays on the door.
How a whole-house visit goes
Walk us through the doors
On the phone, count the doors with keyed locks and mention any that stick or do not latch. That sets the pricing structure.
Door by door
Each cylinder is rekeyed to your new key. Locks that stick get serviced. Anything worn out gets replaced from the van, if you want.
New keys, tested everywhere
As many copies as you ask for, each one tried in each door before we leave.
Students, landlords and the blocks around Lehigh
Rentals around Lehigh and Moravian turn over every summer, and the fastest way to keep track of keys is to rekey between tenants rather than hand out new copies of old keys. We do building entrances and apartment doors on separate keys with a landlord master, so you carry one key and each tenant carries theirs.
Tenants: for a lockout we only need ID with the address. For a rekey or a new lock, get the landlord's okay first, and tell us whether the building entrance is on a different key.

Rekey and repair questions
Can every door be on one key?
If the locks share a keyway, yes. Mixed brands sometimes cannot. We will tell you which doors can be keyed alike and what it takes to bring the others in line.
What if a lock is too worn to rekey?
We say so and show you. Replacing it from the van costs more than rekeying, and the pricing structure for both is explained before you decide.
Do you do storm doors and sliders?
Storm door and patio slider locks, yes. Many are replace-only because of how they are built, and we carry common ones.
